The plant :  Snowberry, Symphoricarpos racemosus, S. rivularis. Caprifoliaceae.
 

Ornemental plant, with oval leaves, green above and paler below. Flowers are little, withe or pink and bell shaped. Fruits are ovoids berries, in group of 2 to 5, generally withe (september to december).


Composition :

Unknown.


Intoxication :

Intoxication concerns young children who swallow berries. But the specie is not very dangerous and ingestion of 3 or 4 berries has no consequence. With important quantities, we can see nausea and vomiting.
Juice of berries is irritating for skin and mucous membranes.
